The HACCI Young Professionals Network
gets a masterclass on marketing
and building a brand
On Thursday 28 May we kicked off the 2026 HACCI Young Professionals Network (HYPN) Mentoring Program at Vanilla Lounge, packed with emerging professionals, mentors, and community leaders.
It was a great opportunity for HACCI members and friends of different generations, who are at different stages of their career, to come together and meet, exchange ideas and connect, forming the basis of great, long-lasting relationships.
The event was centered around a fascinating fireside discussion between Yiannis Skliros (Head of Marketing, Communications, and Brand Management at Sklarexen) and Professor Alex Christou (Monash Business School) on bringing international brands to Australia.
Yiannis shared the story of how Sklarexen brought iconic Greek skincare brands Carroten and Bioten to Australia, going through the wins, the setbacks, and the learnings. Not list among the highlights was the moment when Yianni remembered the excitement of seeing Carroten featured on social media influencer Hailey Bieber’s feed, and when the iconic brand found its way on the shelves on Australia’s biggest chemist chain.
