Welcome to the Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Victoria.  HACCI was formed nearly 50 years ago for the purpose of promoting and strengthening the economic and cultural ties between the Australia and Greece. During that period, the needs of our members and indeed that of the global economic climate have changed considerably.  With these changes in mind, HACCI has closely examined how it can best serve its members in order to align its efforts and resources and maintain HACCI's relevance as it enters a new and exciting era.

Since the early 1990s, HACCI has broadened its scope beyond its traditional commercial mandate.  The Chamber has also fostered the HACCI Business Excellence Awards through which many Hellenic Australians and philhellenes have been recognised for achievement not limited to commerce alone, but has also included politics, academic achievement, the arts, young achievers, community service and philanthropy.

Through the years, the Chamber has hosted and co-sponsored functions, events, cocktail receptions, investment seminars, trade delegations, conferences and has also hosted and supported political leaders from both sides of government. The Chamber today is a multifaceted organisation that offers different things to different people and provides a forum for its members to meet, interact and exchange knowledge and ideas.  It is a vehicle from which to gain an additional perspective and influence change as a united voice.

In June 2010, HACCI re-launched itself, when the two most prominent business organisations in HACCI (Hellenic Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and the HBFA (Hellenic Business Forum of Australia) merged under the common banner of HACCI.  Our new logo shows Hermes - the messenger of the god's, whose role it was to bridge the boundaries between people and provide travellers with a safe and easy journey.  Through this same symbolism in its logo, HACCI too aims to be the bridge between businesses, professionals, government and community. The Chamber's ultimate goal is to be the peak body linking business with government and community.
